What is Scientific Computer?

A Scientific Computer is an IT system equipped with scientific programs. Scientific Server or Scientific Workstation is used to distinguish servers/workstations used for scientific purposes from computers intended for general purposes. Scientific servers and workstations are usually based on a Linux system running Scientific Linux.
