The German company was founded in 2005 and specialises primarily in the requirements of freelancers and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Collax servers offer practical solutions for communication, collaboration, network infrastructures, high availability, protection and security, and virtualization. Collax pays great attention to the fact that all IT solutions offered are not only secure and stable, but can also be optimally adapted to the needs of the respective company.
This approach is well accepted by the target groups. Collax now cooperates with 300 partners and implements 1000 infrastructure projects every year. Today, more than 2500 small and medium-sized enterprises use Collax servers.

Collax Business Server

With the Collax Business Server, SMEs and freelancers have all means at their disposal to operate a smoothly functioning corporate network. Flexibly adjustable to the needs of the respective company, it ensures an efficiently operating infrastructure and meets the highest security standards. The provider has already received several awards for this. The functions that the Collax Business Server fulfills include a digitized infrastructure that includes an integrated backup and restore system, from central user administration to device management via DHCP using software-defined bridging and switching. An integrated e-mail server controls the sending and receiving of e-mails - both via a provider and directly. Security comes first - and so e-mail traffic is constantly checked for spam and viruses. The dynamic storage and file server provides a central storage location for all company data. If more storage is required, this can be easily achieved at any time thanks to the dynamic volume management. The Collax Business Server is also the perfect platform for Web applications. Collax V-Bien

With the Collax V-Bien, Collax offers an integrated total package for high availability and virtualization. Collax V-Bien offers a functional range of 64 GB RAM and a processor socket. This server solution is primarily tailored to the needs of smaller companies, branch offices, group practices, and freelancers. Thanks to its patented Collax Fencing Device, Collax V-Bien maintains the integrity of the data in every operating state. Feared data killers such as Split Brain and Deathmatch are now a thing of the past. If a hardware failure is imminent, Collax Proactive HA ensures that the affected node is evacuated and no longer used and informs the responsible parties. Since Collax V-Bien consists of two identical units, all servers of the company remain active even in the event of a failure. Even if one unit fails. With Collax V-Bien, creating several virtual networks at the same time is no problem. Virtual switches additionally support built-in interfaces and thus allow virtual replication of network infrastructures. With this complete package, which not only features modern virtualization technology but can also be administered like a single server, even existing servers can easily be moved across the network. An uncomplicated operation of the user interface via browser allows remote access to all settings. This also allows remote administration of backups, status information and servers.
